We returned from Boston and Cape Cod but the fun wasn't over! Steph and David were scheduled to spend some time in the Big Apple for ringing. That left Steph and I with nothing to do but shop!
We spent a day in lower Manhattan exploring Century 21 and Sephora and searching for gluten and wheat free food (Steph has celiac disease)! We found a lovely gluten/wheat free vegan bakery called Babycakes and Steph was in 7th heaven! I know vegan goodies don't sound like the most appealing things in the world, but they were wonderful! I would have never known that the "cream cheese" frosting was vegan! YUM!
We ended the evening in Trinity's bell tower and Steph and I gossiped through the practice. Esme even had a friend to play with! A local ringer named Eleanor brought her son Canaan up the tower and they played with toys. Eleanor has really decked the lower part of the ringing room out with fun toys and even a travel cot for naps! Steph took some gorgeous pictures of Esme that I hope to post as soon as she sends them to me. She really is a great photographer!
