The rest of our England trip (9/7-9/13)

So you have heard about Aunt Helen and Uncle Adrian's Wedding and our time at the Bailey family home...but what else did we do? Here is your answer!

We made a trip down to Hastings to visit Esme's godfather, Michael. We were hoping to catch up with his fiance Veronica as well but she was busy studying and preparing for the wedding! Hopefully we will get to see her next time.

Mrs Harrison was kind enough to let us stay over and was an amazing host. She is very inviting and we share a great love of cats. Her cats Harry and George are huge and absolutely gorgeous. I always enjoy visiting with Michael's mother and sister when we visit. We also had a short visit with Paul while we were there. We had a lovely time.

The next pictures are extra special. Esme's godfather, Michael, is an amateur photographer and took some pictures of her while we were in England. She had a nice shiner on her forehead but I think they turned out really great!

We took Esme to her first castle. Scotney Castle is near Hastings and we had a lovely time.

We also took her to Bodiam Castle (also near Hastings). it is one of my favorite castles in terms of appearance. There is a huge moat surrounding the castle that is full of giant fish that I could do without, but other than that it is stunning!

A helicopter flew overhead and the people inside waved at us! Ez was amazed!

We started an passport for Ez that she can get stamped at every castle she visits. Once she visits a certain amount she will get a certificate for doing so. We also bought her a leather bookmark at each of the castles. Stephen did both of these things (passport and bookmarks) when he was a child and we thought it would be fun to do the same thing for Esme.

All of these castle pics were taken with a disposable (we forgot our digital camera again!) and we were pretty impressed with their quality!

We spent some time at the East London Cemetery (Mommy's old job) and caught up with Michelle, Julie and the rest of the ELC crew. It was really nice to see everyone and catch up on the gossip. Another old coworker, Michelle's brother Chris, also stopped by with his daughter Rosie. It was fun watching Ez and Rosie interact.

Daddy had the opportunity to ring with Uncle David in London so Ez, Mama and Auntie Steph got to hang out in London and admire all of the lovely shops and cafes. We started out at Fortnum & Mason, as usual, and made our way around.

That night, we spent the evening at Raj and Kulvant's house. They were lovely hosts, as usual, and we had a nice evening catching up and telling stories. Stephen's friend Michael even made an appearance. We haven't seen Michael much since we have been together because the lucky fellow was living the good life in St. Lucia! Michael was on the boys trip to Seattle with Stephen and Raj when we met!
